Cans for Wildlife is a Can drive that I do to help support one of my top 3 Non-profits " Northwoods Wildlife Center and the Injured/ Orphaned Wildlife they help that is located in Minocqua, WI. I have at this time 6 Can Cage locations.
When saving Cans for a can drive that you are helping to support. Please help to keep all other Recyclables and Trash out of bags of Aluminum. There is a different process that is involved in can drives from regular Recycling. The Recycling establishments and scrap yards only pay you for the cans only that are in the bags. If they find anything in these bags of cans that are not cans , they will not accept that bag and quite possibly not accept the rest of what you have either if they feel the rest of what you have may have mixed items in them. This is why these bags have to be gone thru bag by bag and rebagged in to other bags by the ones that are putting on these can drives, before they are able to be taken into the recycling center or scrap yard to be weighed and paid otherwise the photos below are what people like me that do these can drives are left to deal with. So please keep this in mind when your saving cans for your non-profit/ charity can drive . Please keep the Aluminum Cans separate from everything else and thank you for understanding and for your Support . It is very much appreciated.
( Now if you are just recycling and*** NOT *** saving your cans for a Can-Drive, then its perfectly ok to mix them in with your other recyclables :-)
Please drop Bagged Cans off back here behind the Wildlife Facility and Single cans not bagged go in green can you see there and Thank you so much for supporting this cause :-)
Due to High fuel Prices, I have been forced to TEMPORARILY RETRIEVE 3 can cage locations. In GLIDDEN, WI., Park Falls, BP & WI. & Brantwood/Knox WI. Recycling Center. I had 9 can cage locations, now only 6
